I mail ordered on the telephone an item worth 29.99 in December 2014 CAD and prior to my concluding someone came on the line and asked me if I wanted to enroll with Savers City to get a 100$ gas voucher and other goodies, together with a free trial offer for three months , after which I could discontinue if I chose not to go on with my subscription to Savers City.
They promised me that I would receive a pack by e mail with my card and pin no and coupons which I could use to redeem their promises.
I received no card in the mail and none of the stuff that they sent could be printed or downloaded.
They had all my info on the mail order, and in January they called. I told them I was not interested as they did not seem to have kept their side of the deal.
It was only after I asked for a statement from my bank that I discovered that every month on the 22 day from February to August they were skimming 17.83 CAD from my account.
I have now instructed my bank not to honour any payment request from Savers City
