Prettiness online Beijing is posting adverts and creating fake websites that resemble in great detail official brands. I fell for the fraud of Ray-Ban glasses for charity. Glasses sold for £16.99. They create facebook events and one of my very close and trustworthy friends, who never invites me to any online games or any such things on facebook, invited me to this. My mother really wanted a specific type of Ray-Ban and hence I thought this is a great opportunity so I clicked on the buttons and purchased the glasses. Ten days later and the glasses hadn't arrived, so, i contacted Ray-Ban (the official website) and they informed me that this is a scam and the website link that I provided them with is not affiliated with them. Therefore, I contacted my bank, HSBC, that informed me that if the item doesn't arrive after 15 days of the transaction then I can make a "missing items" claim to get my money back. It's not a very big sum of money but it is really frustrating that you need to constantly keep an eye for opportunists who want to benefit on your expense. I hope my email reaches out to other people who might be a bit smarter than me and investigate the website online before following through with the purchase.
