I started Miller-Motte Technical College November of last year. I already have a certification as a nursing assistant, and an associates degree in Psychology, and decided to get certified as a Medical Billing and Coding specialist. The first set of classes I took, only 4 of the 12 credits counted towards the 70 I needed for certification. When the first stipend check came out, I kept getting directed to different people and was told different stories. After threatening to withdraw they finally "fixed" it. Then I spent another month, trying to fix the next one. The 3rd one, I didn't receive anything, and was advised I actually had to pay them. The 4th and 5th I have been trying to fix since July and October, respectfully, even to where I see they have all the paperwork, and still aren't processing anything! They're holding over $3k in stipends, and say I owe them over $8k. At the start of this term, I advised my program director I was moving out of state, and needed to finish my classes online, to which she advised she was going to have switched. They charged me $3k in tuition, then promptly dropped me from all my classes, saying I "withdrew". This school is a scam, preying on ones that can't afford to have $$ spent on an education they can't use! And the whole time I was there, I had the same 3 teachers for all classes, teaching subjects as wide as sociology, information technology, and anatomy. No way they were qualified. And when I asked help in my advance medical and billing class, I was told to "YouTube" how to solve the problem, instead of the teacher doing her job.
