First, I was so happy to get such a low price for my Tempo C-38 electric scooter from the leadermobility.com but my joy vanished after I paid them.


The scooter came with no charger, book and broken front panel. I mean it came after I theratened these crooks to ship it because they said that this scooter was in stock but it really was not, otherwise they could have shipped it without being threatened.


Like I said, the price was cheap, that is why I fell into this trap of buying from these chargedmobility people.

But guess what, a week later they charged me an extra $420 saying that the price on their website was in error!!!


My main problem is that their customer service sucks and the scooter broke down after a couple miles. To be exact, the wheel fell off and I almost ended up in the hospital.


That's when my water got hot and talked to my brother who has a similar scooter from ewheels back a few years ago.


He found out that this leadermobility people are the same as the ewheels: http://www.electricwheelstore.com/


They have such a bad reputation, they ripped off so many people that they are now changed the names of their scooters and continue selling them.

I bought an EW 36 a couple of months ago. It is very poorly constructed and not worth the money. Bolts have been put in crooked, the running lights don't work and the front wheel is slightly skewed, but that's not the REAL problem. The problem is getting any support from Electric Wheels LLC, the manufacture.

I have used their Customer Support email form three times. I received acknowledgements each time that said "This request is currently being processed by our staff. Electric Wheels Support is assigned to your request. You will receive a notification when the request status is updated by our staff."

I have waited two months with no answer. I have also called them but they don't pick up even the main line to the company, you get a recorded message that says leave a message and we'll call you back. They don't.

Stay away from this company, you don't want to get into the mess I am in.

WELL GUYS I GUESS AXLE WELDS & THROWING YOU INTO TRAFFIC SEEMS TO BE A REGULAR ISSUE WITH THIS THING...THEY HAVE BOTH HAPPENED TO ME AS WELL AS OTHERS, THE AXLE WELDS ARE BAD OR THE METAL... I DID GET SOME HELP WITH PARTS A FEW MONTHS BACK AND SCOTT WAS VERY HELPFUL SENT NEW THROTTLE W/ REVERSE SWITCH AND NEW REAR BRAKE PADS ALTHOUGH I CANNOT INSTALL THEM AS I DON'T HAVE THE ACTUATOR OR LEVER... I DID THIS BY CALLING UNTIL I GOT A LIVE PERSON LEAVING A MESSAGE WAS A WASTE OF TIME. THE EW36 IS A GREAT DESIGN BUT SEEMS TO HAVE ASSEMBLY ISSUES. SOME OF THE WIRES WERE WRONG CAUSING THE BRAKES TO LOCK WHILE RIDING & IF YOU HIT EVEN A SLIGHT BUMP, AFTER ALMOST 7 MOS. IT STILL SITS WITH BROKEN AXLE WELDS... A FRAME ISSUE SUPPOSEDLY WARRANTIED FOR 3 YEARS & BAD REAR BRAKES SO YOU CANNOT LOCK IT WHEN PARKED IF ON THE TRAIN OR BUS YOU HAVE TO HOLD THE FRONT BRAKE. NOW I GET VOICE MAIL EVERY TIME I CALL...SAD IT WAS A GREAT IDEA AND WOULD BE A GREAT SCOOTER IF IT WERE BUILT BETTER MAYBE IN USA OR JAPAN GERMANY... SEEMS EVERYTHING FROM CHINA BREAKS BEFORE OR AFTER A YEAR LIKE AN 80'S AMERICAN CAR IT's JUST DESIGNED THAT WAY. ONE GOOD THING WE'LL NEVER HAVE TO BUY TIRES OR BATTERIES BECAUSE IT JUST WON'T MAKE IT THAT LONG...I'M GONNA FIX IT THOUGH...WHY...I STILL LIKE IT! IT'S SORT OF LIKE AN OLD SPORTS CAR... ALWAYS NEEDS SOMETHING!

My advice to you is to stay away from this place. Now I was advised to send my complaints to the BBB and the Arizona Attorney's General.
