Said I was approves for a grant that I had applied for, I kept telling them that the info they were asking for was fishy and that I didnt believe that it wasn't a scam and they said "this is a government, recorded line" and so I used a prepaid card- as they said there would be a 3.84$ charge for the registration to put insurance on the money...luckily I went with my gut instinct and didn't give them my actual account information. Anyway my prepaid card was preregistered with my email address and so when I got an email from my card's website stating a username and password had been created, I immediately went thru the steps to change the password (since I couldn't log into MY account BC I didnt create the account and the email alert only included the username created) and went thru the account management online to update all info so I am the only one able to log in from now on; at this point I realized it was a scam and then saw the transaction they debited from my account...what a joke this company takes advantage of ppl in need by pretending to give them the money they need!! And the ppl being scammed by this horrible place are ppl that cant afford to be taken advantage of! I am contacting my local police department, my cardholder, 311 services, the BBB, and anyone else I need to in the morning and giving them all the info they need to shut this scam down and get this company for money laundering or falsifying id to obtain profit, or theft, grand larceny, impersonating a government official, fraud, embezzlement(since they are using an actual company to obtain the stolen funds thru, therefore q's can b answered and complaints handed, and lies about accounts being charged can be told to cover up the scam)...and whatever else I can do to help these ppl get what they deserve and hopefully prevent the next person from being lied to and stolen from!!
