I answered an Amazon.com survey and was told I qualified for a purse for $5.99. That transaction was posted on 1/23/17. There was nothing in there that said I would be billed $98 a month for the purse. Purse isn't worth more than about $25. I never noticed the February charge for $98. My credit card company sent me an email about a March charge of $98. When I called the telephone number listed for the charge I was told that I had to return the purse within 14 days. By not returning it I was agreeing to the terms. I never saw that anywhere on the form I filled out or in any of the packaging that I received with the purse. I immediately cancelled the subscription and when I told them I wanted the $98 charge in March refunded, I was told that they would only refund me 35% of the $98. They did provide me with a cancellation number and also with a transaction number for the refund, which I provided to my credit card company. I blame myself for this for not checking my credit card in February, and for thinking there wasn't a catch to getting a "free" purse, and only paying the $5.99. I think Amazon should also be held accountable for this since it pops up on their site. The old saying is true - if it's too good to be true, then it is. Hopefully others reading the different complaints on this company will not make the same mistake I just made. I'm out about $170 because of this.
