I bought a pair of WONDERLITE shoes (Bill 36407, size 9 1/2 wide) from Sears and wore them one time when the heel on the right shoe crumbled and the sole split in several places. The left show was unaffected. I took the shoes, which showed no wear except for the disintegrating areas, to my local Sears store for an exchange but was denied because I did not have my original receipt. I discarded it when I wore the shoes. I made several attempts at an exchange to no avail. Clearly the shoes were defective but Sears did not make any attempt to resolve the problem. What a change from the "old" Sears where the customer came first.
