"Michael" approached me within 5 minutes of walking in the lobby of the LAX Hyatt Regency. The first thing he asked is "Do you speak English."
He proceeded to give me the same talk others have posted about here: Jewish guy whose flight was switched, needed money for hotel, wearing a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap. He's about 5' 9" with black hair.
I offered to get him a room, but he asked for cash because he didn't have the money on his credit card.
If he approaches you with this scam at a hotel, go to the front desk and have them call the police. He tagged me for $160.00.
This is also the last time I ever give any "stranded traveler" money.
