International boundaries
Two female college students came to the door selling magazine subsciptions. Told I would receive a phone call on 11/19/11 to give feedback on their communications skills and would be able to cancel or accept the magazine subscriptions. Never received a phone call. After reading the scam reports on this, I believe I have been scammed. I am going to have to wait till Monday to call my bank and and see if I can stop payment on the two checks I wrote.

Thanks for the heads up! It really helps to read posts like yours because it keeps me updated on what's happening.
Do you have their names? Company they represented? Their phone number? Can you share it? I've gotten calls for a magazine subscription before. I got a phone number and reported it to the telephone scams watchdog site http://www.callercenter.com and guess what? 8 more others also reported it. I suggest you post a complaint on the site, too.
