I found this website while searching for a used ipad through Google. I was advised upon entering that I must register before browsing the auction items. There was no mention of a registration charge. I looked and looked and decided it was safe. I entered my information, including credit card info, and as soon as I had done it, I was informed that I had "purchased" some astronomical number of "bids", like 156 bids. I really thought my credit card number was for paying for whatever I should bid on and win. I immediately went to the site of my bank, and saw I had been charged $99.00. I called Bidrack immediately, spoke to someone named Kyle, who told me that he was forwarding my request for a refund to appropriate person and they would call me. They did not call me so the next day, I called them back. A woman named Sara then told me that she was sending the information and that they would probably issue me a refund on Tuesday, june 14. She told me that when they issued the refund I would be given a number that I should write down. She said my refund would then come in about 6 weeks. I called about that today (Tuesday)& got someone who acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. I received an email assigning me a case number [#911327)and refusing to refund my money. They said although they acknowledged my right to a refund by law,but that when I submitted my information I had agreed to their no-refund policy. I agreed to no such thing. Actually, they were very vague before I entered my info, and afterwards, they disclosed a lot more. It was like "gotcha!!!" My bank will dispute this, but I think the website's practices should be investigated.

I have reported this company to internet fraud division of the FBI & will also send information to the Texas Attorney general's office.

  • What kind of proof is needed? I tried to send the entry from my bank acct but that didn't work. However, strange as it seems, Bidrack refunded my $99.00, and neither my bank nor I know why. The person at my bank said I must have said the right thing when I complained. I don't know what I said........go figure!
