I was contacted about a Resume I sent out for a work from home data entry position with PlanMill. I looked the company up online and found only good things and the compay appeared professional,
I was extended a letter of employment from
Thomas Hood (CEO/President of PlanMill Ltd) via a lady with a yahoo e-mail account. I was given a series of 'test' questions which I passed and then given a series of Tasks to complete.
I was told the company would pay for my training and send me the supplied necessary for the job. After I signed the letter and agreed
I was suddenly told the Account Manager was out for the holiday and I would need to purchase the equipment myself.
I refused and said that wasn't the agreement an to just forget it.
I was then told they would mail a check via Fed Ex
I was asked to speak with Justin Cougar via messenger. This person acted professional an had a profile pic with his yahoo account. When I asked why no one I was working with had a business PlanMill account they said it was because we're working in the US and the company is in Finland. Next I was told my check was lost on the mail an they would need my bank account and password information so they could direct deposit the check and watch the account for the deposit to hit. I told them heck no! Then they said nevermind they would mail out the check again. The check was to purchase equip from 'approved' vendors which they could never tell me who that was. I didn't lose any money but I did lose time I could have been spending looking for better jobs. Luckily I never really stopped.
This was a very in depth scam and they said, "I hope you are seeing where I'm coming from" a lot. It was all to weird then I finally saw one thing where they scammed someone. Either the owner knows what's going on or someone is using a Legit business as a false front! This company is on Linked In and Facebook.
This needs to be addressed before they really hurt people here in the US.

  • I had a similar experience. Luckily I didn't give them any money. They actually sent me a check for office equipment and then told me to send money for the office equipment tp a specific person in NJ before the check even cleared! I googled the person's name - Tasha Fowler - and came up with a scambook report. I reported this to law enforcement. You should too.
