I HAD FILLED OUT A COUPLE OF APPLICATIONS ONLINE FOR A SHORT TERM LOAN. I ACTUALLY WAS APPROVED BY A DIFFERENT LENDER AND RECEIVED $500 in my checking account three days prior, but needed about $1500 more, so when I got a phone call from a MICHAEL RAI , (strong India accent), informing me I had been approved for a loan up to $3000.00, (SCAM) was not the first thing that popped into my head. We discussed the repayment plan, and he told me I needed to send $185 via W.U. to establish my account. When I questioned this He assured me they would wire me $3000 + the $185.He stayed on phone while I sent money but disconnected while supposedly sending mine. Then called back stating I needed to send $299 for Tax because it would be reported to IRS as income. At this point all the Alarm Bells and Sirens were going in my head, I knew it was a Scam but still sent that $299. WHY ? I wanted to believe! Then I spent the next four hours calling them back and harassing them. Finally the guy flat out admitted it was a scam and bragged how over 1,000 people a day were ripped off by his company then hung up.
