These people rang in regards to over charging bank fees saying that I was owed $3647. I was reassured that once the money was transferred via western union that I would receive a call on my land line in regards to the money plus the transfer fees that I paid by Credit card and Cash. I have since tried to call the number myself and will keep trying to call in business hours. I am a night shift worker and don't like to be scammed. I was just called by "John Cooper" (who definitely didn't sound like a John Cooper) from Money Saving Experts who spun me the same story of overcharged bank fees of the same amount of $3647. He started to give me the same phone no. too, but then changed it to 02 800 62613 (was 02 800 57 ...). He gave me the name of Mrs Jenny Wilson (a name used elsewhere in scams) who would ring me back on my mobile (if I had been duped into giving it to him before I googled the scam) so she could give me instructions as to how I was to collect my cheque from the post office. I don't know what my mobile no would have got him, but very happy I didn't get to find out!
There is a New Zealand site that has been reporting this scam, with variations in detail since February last year!

So sorry you lost money on this. Always have google handy when dealing with these sorts of calls would be my advice. -
