Dear Donna Lieberman,
Hope this letter finds you well. I on the other hand find myself in a difficult situation, which requires quite some explaining. However if you’ll permit me, I’ll give you the condensed version.
Some ten months ago I received an advertisement from a car dealer inviting me to their dealership for a sale and prize. Being in the market for a new truck I went. Upon reaching an agreed price on this one truck, we proceeded to the office where at such time the salesman changed the sales price. When I bocked at the changed price and didn't agree two other salesmen entered and one of those salesmen held my arm, keeping me from getting to my walker. See, I need both arms and all my strength to get to my feet because I’m paralyzed from the waist down and need either my wheel chair or my walker. I always try to use the walker in public. Anyway, it was at just that moment that I felt I was held against my free will and that I had some sort of panic attack. Great nervousness fell upon me, cold sweats and a strong feeling to be home where I was safe. So feeling all this preasure from these three salesmen..... I signed the contract in order to clear those premises. Truly I was under duress. This vehicle that I now “own” sits in my driveway and I haven’t driven it at all, no not one mile because it needs hand controls.
I have tried everything I can to re-write this deal, to terminate it and or to put everything back as it was before I ever received their mail but they will not cooperate with me. I need help! See, I believe they took full advantage of me in my physical state. God knows, had this been twenty years ago I would have walked out and they would not have been able to do a thing about it. I called my senator Catherine Young who has told me they have numerous complaints concerning this dealership and she referred me to the Attorney General. Still nothing has been done yet and both say I was wronged. I still need a truck with hand controls and this one in my driveway is costing me daily.
There is more to tell but I will spare you the details. In short, these guys manhandled me, scared me into signing a contract and pulled a bait and switch. I would like some justice.
