I reserved a trip through Expedia on March 12,2011 to Maui for four adults and two children. When I arrived at the airport the ticket agent informed me that Expedia had us flying from Kahului to Honolulu to Kapalua. There was a four hour lay over in Honolulu. I thought these were three different islands that we had to go to before we arrived at Maui. She said the first stop was in Maui and I could take a taxi to the hotel it was about 30 miles. She said she did not know why expedia booked us on three flights to get to Maui. She suggested I contact Expedia when I arrived to see if they could correct the flights. An agent at the Expedia counter tried to help us but told us to contact Hawaiin airlines. I called Hawaiin airlines and they said the contact Expedia. I talked to two people at expedia and both would not help me the second man told me he would cancel the flights for 150.00 cancellation fee. I told him I paid for 24 flights I did not need or use and he said I should have called when I received the itinerary. I explained to him that I was not familiar with Hawaii and thought we were going to three different places to land in Maui, not to Maui to Honolulu and back to Maui. I asked to talk to a supervisor and he said the supervisor would say the same thing. We ended up canceling the flights through Hawaiin airlines so we could fly direct from Maui to Oakland.I feel like I was scammed by Expedia since they charged me for 24 flights I did not need and did not know I did not need. I called again when I was back home and talked to Leona and was disconnected then to Sassie and Then to a supervisor Reynal all of them said they could not help me. I think I deserve a credit from expedia for the money I wasted on 24 flights I did not take or need but paid for. We have taken numerous trips using expedia but will never us them again. I am contacting media and anyone who will listen and telling them my experience. I tried to give Expedia a chance to make this right and everyone refused. I will not just accept the fact that I paid for 24 flights I did not need because it was booked through Expedia. I have done everything possible to give Expedia a chance to correct this.
