While inquiring details for a Waikiki condo rental sublet on craigslist, the responder never once identified his/ her name, but used the name "Jik Rentals" as if they were part of an advertised online rental company.

After researching "Jik Rentals" online, nothing was found. The responder emailed me back with the estimated total (rent+ tax+cleaning fee+ $500 refundable deposit) and said payment options include paypal, wired transfer, money gram, and checks. After sending me the contract, which looks legit, the responder told me to email back the signed contract w/ the payment in order to process my reservation since other ppl were interested and the rental property was first come first served.

Right before, I was about to sign this agreement, I enter this property address: (Personal Info Removed) and discovered a reported scram was filed from this website (Special thanks to person who reported this, otherwise I would have been the next victim and ruin my entire vacation!! THANK YOU!)

Turns out, this craigslist ad/ pictures were posted at another website featured in San Carlos, CA! OMG!!!!

Bottom line-Do you research! 1.Verify the property owner 2.READ the contract carefully 3. DO credit card or pay pal payments (NEVER wired transfer or Money gram)
