I have had to initiate a charge back to try to recoop my money.
I posted the following statement with the TradersRoom support desk 10 May 2012

When I started with the TradersRoom on the 30TH OF March of this year I was dealing with a a rep going by the name of John Smith phone 1-888-899-2443 ext. 305. He was very convincing and informed me that if I started off with an investment of $2000 instead of the minimum I wanted to start with that the TradersRoom would match my investment with a $2000 bonus that I could to start my trading so I would not have to risk my money to get started. He knew that I wanted to pull my investment out as soon as I could to avoid paying on the loan I got for the investment.
During the following weeks the only investment tip I got from him was for Apple but the day he called it was to late to make a winning investment. I lost 300 on that one. After investing for a while I tried to withdraw the money I invested and the request was canceled. I called John and he blamed it on a system problem and said their was no reason that I could not withdraw the amount I had invested. He said to try again in a couple days which I did. It was canceled as well. Each time I talked to him he repeated the same story. Finally around the first or second of may you gave me a new rep Paul Russ 1-888-899-2443 304 who was much more helpful when I asked him about the withdrawal he seemed to feel the same as John but said he would get to the bottom of it. On the 3rd of May I got an e-mail from TradersRoom support that explained how your bonuses work and I found that what I had been told from the first was not true. Although the bonus money showed in the balance on your web site, it (the bonus money) would not be available for trading or withdrawal until my account total was over $15,000.
Even though Paul seemed helpful and said he wall call and try to help me get my bal up he never called until Mat 7th to inquire what kind of help I needed as their system said I was on line and using the chat program asking for help. I told him that I had not been on line that day maybe he should check his system to see who was using my account. He called back the next day I think to let me know that he had run on to an old note to call. It still did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling.
I feel your system as it was presented to me is a scam. The information I was given was misleading and false.
In the future I would suggest that customers should be provided with a copy of the terms for your bonuses. Before they get the bonus. The request for bonus e-mail I got did NOT have a copy of the terms you intended to enforce.
