Like other desperate borrowers I fell for too-good-to-be-true offer. I'm maxed out on payday loans and then received a "miracle" phone call this morning telling me I'd be approved for a loan of up to $3,000. All I had to do was first send them $150 via Western Union since my poor credit score didn't qualify me.
That should have been a sign for me to say no way, but I let my desperation get the best of me. I should have gotten an even bigger no way when they guy on the phone, Sam Martin and Brandon somebody, told me to send the money to Fermin Kagatan in the Philippines. How big of an idiot do I have to be?
After the Western Union transaction was complete, the Brandon guy tol me they were having trouble completing my profile because of a mistake with the way my name was spelled in the transaction. Now these guys don't want to return my calls to get my $150 back.
I wish I'd have done the research online when I first took the call. I was sitting right in front of my computer and just knew something was up.
