Keith Lorenz, owner of The Mobile Mechanic performed repairs on 1999 Chevy Malibu & 2005 Chevy Corvette. First quoted $150.00 labor only for both cars, and $45.00 diagnostic chgs. on 10/07/2012. On 10/08/2012 we told him that his labor costs was a little high, so he quoted $90.00 plus parts. We agreed, he then proceeded to repair both cars. He also said that he would take checks for the total costs. Ok, when we presented him with our checks (my partner's car was the Corvette) he told me that because he didn't have a bank account, (huh) that any bank would normally charge him $5.00 for each check. So, I gave him a new check for the repairs & $10.00 for the bank charges. I was a little upset because he changed his charges several times, and told him that we may not consider his services in the future. He became balistic, calling us all kinds of names, and because we lived in a "beautful home" and had good looking cars that we should not balk for an increase in charges. Two days later on 10/10/2012 I start my car and the same problem I had before he "fixed" it appeared. I then called him to come back and to fix it properly. He agreed to come back 3 days later on 10/13/2012. He never showed up, and when I contacted him again he said, "find another mechanic to fix the problem" that he wasn't coming out to make any "new" repairs. So, now I need to find another mechanic and pay for repairs that I had already paid for. Not fair, not fair at all!!
