I responded to an introductory ad for electronic cigarette (for my son). They set me up a subscription that I NEVER ASKED FOR OR WANTED for cartridges that I do not want. They charged me $116.93 and when I called, told me they would credit my account $88.00 when they received the returned cartridges. It has been well over a month since they were returned. Not only have they not credit my account, they charged me another $86.94! This is a rip-off!!!

  • Call Optimacigs and let them know your complaint. Keep focused on your issue while talking to them, cuz they'll try to convince you it's your fault. The issue is their deceptive advertising and their unauthorized charge to your c.c. Then immediately call your c.c. and explain the deceptive scam to them and tell them you're expecting a credit for the full amount (less 4.95). Let them know first off you tried to resolve it with the scamming company. Optimacigs emailed me a return mdse authorization#(RMA#)- after telling me they don't accept 'return to sender'. When the pkg arrived, I wrote the RMA# and "Return to Sender" on it and handed it back to the postman. I'm out nothing more than my agreed to purchase of 4.95.

  • The following are steps I took to resolve my complaint of 'unauthorized credit card charges made by Optima Cigs'.

    After noting each unauthorized charge to my credit card, I immediately notified my credit card services and requested refusal of payment to Optima Cigs. With each incident, I promptly notified Optima Cigs, first by phone followed by email.

    After calling Optima Cigs on both occasions and refusing shipments, Optima Cigs issued to me via email both Return Merchandise Authorization numbers. Both shipments were returned via USPS, unopened, to Optima Cigs.

    After I insisted Optima Cigs close my account, that I would not be doing any further business with them, they sent me an email on Feb 22, 2013 that included the following:

    "Hello,
    Thank you for contacting Optima Customer Service.

    I have reviewed your account and our records show that your Cartridge Replenishment Program has been canceled and there will be no further automatic charges.Sincerely,
    LeAndrea"

    This all supports proof of resolution to my complaint.
