A man told me over the phone to give him 1% of my trust while he was asking for my credit card account number for the balance and I told him that I could do this myself. Then a redflag went through my mind when he said he does not talk to a representative from my credit card company, but he also needed my credit card phone number to verify my balance. This seemed he was putting pressure on me for personal information that I certainly did not disclose to him and I told him I would check his company out first with the Better Business Bureau. After getting off the phone with him, I realized that I made a smart decision today by not telling him my credit card number over the phone for verification to this Common Sense Group company which they claim to lower credit card interest rates.
