Steve Moore alleges that he is a U.S. soldier serving in Afghanistan. Divorced. Only child. Very wealthy. Apparently needs funds for his retirement papers and to get back home. As a Canadian I was somewhat familiar with the Canadian process but not the U.S. process. I was recently widowed and susceptible. Should have been smarter. I sent this guy a phone and other miscellaneous items so that he could communicate with me better. Never had one call. Ended up sending him wire transfers of $11,000 plus fees on July 2 and July 4, 2013. The first money was so that he could get his retirement papers. The second money was so that he could get out of the country. By the time he asked for the second batch of money I was starting to get suspicious and that is when I did the online research. Sorry I didn't do it earlier.
