I received an email from Hot close outs, otherwise known as Zbiddy.com this morning offering auction deals on their website. You are then asked to enter your personal identification information along with a valid credit card. There was absolutely no other instructions that they were going to charge your credit card once you entered your information nor was there anywhere that you agreed to accept any terms or charges of just logging in to their site. However, once they recognized and approved your credit card, I was immediately charged $99 to my card for absolutely nothing. I see there are numerous complaints just like mine being recorded as I speak. I also did send an email to them telling them NOT to charge my card. They also say you can contact a live person but neglect to give you a phone number. I googled Ecom Interactive whom I believe is affiliated with this website. They do list an 800 number but guess what? That number just happens to be disconnected. I will try with my bank to see if they can dispute this charge but I'm not too hopeful. Live and learn but I feel terrible for some of these people that can't really afford to lose this money over this scam.
