I received a telephone call from a person with an accent saying that he was from Grand Travel Worldwide. I was told that I and my partner/spouse had won a 3-day/2-night "vacation" in either Las Vegas, LA, San Francisco, New York, Orlando, or Miami Beach. I was asked if our combined income pre-tax was $60k. I said no and was told that was ok. I was to wait to speak with a "supervisor" to get some type of password.
The call kept going "in and out." This was as if it was a cell phone call with poor service.
When I began asking questions regarding the number from which the call originated, etc., the caller abruptly hung up on me.
I knew immediately this was a scam. I was only wanting the telephone number to submit it to the Federal "Do Not Call" list.
Be forewarned about things like this that sound too good to be true. If it sounds like it, IT IS!
