I bought an IPL offer via wowcher at the end of 2012. At my appointment for a patch test i was offered an additional offer by the manager and payed £75 directly to the salon. When i turned up for my first session the salon was closed with only a piece of paper in the window explaining it was closed for an emergency. I understand this can happen but for the upcoming weeks i heard nothing from the salon.

Over the course of 2013 I called numerous times and left many messages with no reply. Wowcher then, out of the blue, returned the money i had paid for the original offer saying the salon couldn't fulfil the agreement, but couldn't tell me why. For the last 12 months I have called and written repeatedly to the salon. The staff refuse to talk to me and never offered me another appointment or even an explanation. All they told me was that they couldn't give me a refund until i talked to the manager who didn't answer or even take messages!!!!!!

When i finally managed to talk to the manager i was shocked by how rude and disrespectful she is. She refused to speak to me initially and said she had no time but would get back to me. I waited over a month and when i called back she accused me of harassment!! she then said i could have any treatment up to the value of £75. how can i go back after being treated so badly with no guarantee I'd get anything booked this time either.

I have spoken to the citizens advice bureau and followed their advice regarding letters of complaint but she hasn't replied to any so unfortunately i am having to threaten her with court action.

To be honest if she had just originally apologised and offered me something else i would have been more than happy. but to be ignored for a year and treated so abhorrently when i do mange to talk to her has made me even more determined to get my money back.

i feel the need to warn potential customers and initially thought it was just me who had had this experience but I'm shocked to discover, not only on this website, that she has done this many times.
