This company changes their policy on you after taking your money. Prior they tell you everything you ask them is indeed covered. We paid for this policy and four months into, my refrig and dishwasher needed to be repaired. I kept calling them and kept getting the run around. Finally, after sending them threatening emails, they called me and some company came out who have never heard of Stanley Warranty. The tech was instructed by Stanley to not look at or touch anything until we paid the $50 ded. Thank God the guy was really nice and looked at the appliances before we paid.
The tech felt bad for us knowing that this company was playing games w/us and wanted us to kick out additional money saying our repairs were not covered. (something they made up) Thank God the tech was nice enough to show my husband what to do to fix our appliances and with in one hour my husband had everything fix. We still had to pay $50.00 for the 'so called" ded.I am glad the guy showed us what to do to fix our problems. However, when I called Stanley back to cancel this mess and get my money back, their "so called" legal dept/customer service rep...whoever. threatened me and told me that I can cancelled but all I would be getting back from my $450.00 was $10 after some made up fees. RIDICULOUS!!!! only 4 months and you tell me I can only get back $10????? I told him to go to hell. I am livid at how they have gotten over on people all over and yet they still are. The complaints tell the story. Everyone can't be wrong.. yet they still exist. They need to be SHUT DOWN and ppl need to get back some kind of restitution from them.
