I bought a ticket with cheapoair - YYZ-Paris-Frankurt- India, the biggest mistake of my life. The rules were unclear as to what nationality the traveler belongs and if you require a transit visa to travel through Europe.

As a travler, I did not know about the transit visa. But as a travel agency, they knew about this common problem many travelers are facing.

So, when i called cheapoair about the transit visa, they said nothing can be done. Its a non refundable and non changeable ticket.

After sometime, they said they have spoken with Lufthansa and it will cost you another $878 to make the change. I had no option. I agreed.

They charged my card and confirmed the ticket. I called lufthansa to confirm if everything is confirmed. Lufthansa said the dates on the tickets and itinerary don not match and travel agency need to reissue the ticket.

I called Cheapoair and narrated the conversation which i had with lufthansa. The agent at cheapoair said the tickets are 110% confirmed and you dont need to worry.

I called lufthansa again and they said the same thing as they said before.

I called cheapoair few times and they said sir we have charged your card and the new ticket has been confirmed. Just present this at the airport and you are fine.

I called lufthansa again, same thing. I got stressed with this, couldnt even sleep.

I contacted again cheapoair after few days and they agent took 1 hour to confirm and spoke with lufthansa and finally said the request is denied by airline and nothing can be done.

I got in deep stress now. I finally called cheapoair to cancel my ticket and just refund me the airport taxes atleast so i can look for another ticket.

All the agents said we cannot refund you a penny. I told them the airport taxes is supposed to be refunded even if its a non refundable ticket as i wont be flying.

All i have to say, in my life i have pledged not to deal with Cheapoair, one travel and their related websites as they have so many websites.

STAY AWAY FROM CHEAPOAIR. IF THEY STILL WANT TO RESLOVE THIS ISSUE. PLEASE HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS. DONT CHEAT THEM.
