I continue to receive these incessant text messages from WalMart, the national discount store "Scam People", telling me that "I've been chosen to receive a $1,000.00 Wal-mart Gift Card!" Use approval code: Giveme. Visit the following website: GIFT60.com.
Please tell Wal-Mart stop sending any/all future messages because they are burning up all of my prepaid cell phone air time with their ridiculously stupid and unwanted phony advertisement texts. Thank you.

Yes you may have a valid complaint here, but it is not against Wal-Mart.
One rule of thumb in recongizing scams is to realize that if a company is offerening something that is legit then it will come from a company e-mail address or send you to something that is on their companies website.
So Wal-Mart would send you to www.walmart.com to enter a promo code or send you an e-mail from [email protected].
You are smart in not accepting this offer because it is a scam. -
