this, so called, credit card company called me and stated i was approved for an express platinum card with a credit limit of $5,500.00 and it would help to raise my credit score as i used it and that all i had to pay was a $99.00 one time processing fee. Of course this sounded great because im trying to get my credit score up to good standards, i asked the gentleman if this was an actual credit card or if this was one of those cards that you could use at only specific sites and purchase specific things, he assured me that "it was not to purchase only out of magazines" but could be used anywhere so i decided to go with it. This conversation took place on Tuesday January 3rd, 2012. After we hung up the phone i decided to look into this Express Platinum Card and realized it was not a credit card and was in fact a card that you could only use on specific sites, i sent an e-mail that same day explaining i wanted to cancel my membership and that i did not want the $99.00 fee taken out of my checking account, to my surprise they took the $99.00 out of my checking account so i tried calling and of course you cant speak with anyone because its a scam company, so i sent another e-mail Friday January 6th, 2012 explaining that i sent an e-mail on Tuesday that i wanted the card cancelled and did not want the fee taken out of my account and that i was going to file a complaint, no response. Sent ANOTHER e-mail on Tuesday January 10th, 2012 explaining all of the above, AGAIN, and that i was going to sue them for theft since they did not have the guts to contact me as they were being cowards. I finally get an e-mail from them on Tuesday January 11th, 2012 stating that the $99.00 fee is non-refundable, that is all the cowards had the nerve to state. Today they have have responded to 3 or 4 e-mails i sent but could not respond to any of the e-mails i sent last week, how convenient, and had they had, they would have cancelled my membership immediately and not take the fee out of my account but seeing as all they are are a scam and are only good for stealing money i guess that is to be expected from a shady company with shady employees.
