Griswold and Agdeppa advertise as loan modification attorneys. Our family needed to modify 3 loans. Griswold and Agdeppa assured us that it can be done. After paying them $12,000.00 up front and filling out reams of documents and forms, nothing happened. We were assured that the banks were considering our modifications and processing paperwork. After 9 months, we contacted all of our lenders and were appalled to find that one modification had been closed 6 months earlier because the attorney did not forward documents on a timely basis and 2 modifications were denied. The attorney, all along assured us that the paperwork was being processed. I filed a complaint with the California Attorney General's Office. Nothing happened. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the attorney responded that that there are no guarantees of a modification. He took our money and did not follow up on any of the modifications. It was not until I contacted the banks, that I found about what he had not done.
