I purchased what I thought was a Canon 5D Mark ii from them for $1326.10 only to find out that what they tried to sell me was a plastic body, import model with Japanese text. When I tried to cancel my order the sales rep tried to pull the bait and switch on me to the tune of an additional $568.90. I declined, had my order canceled and was told I would have my money refunded. It is now November 12th, 25 days after my order was cancelled and still no money. I called today and spoke to another person claiming to be in the billing department saying that my refund would be issued on November 16th. When I questioned him as to why it would take over a month to refund my money I got some run around excuse about a refund queue. In short, I was basically told that it just takes forever for them to refund your money. I'm beyond frustrated with this company. My next move will be to file a complaint with the BBB, post my experience on Ripoff Report and most likely, post to my facebook account and asking my friends to forward along to all of their friends so that nobody else has to deal with this hassle.

  • 11/28/12 Update: Still no refund of my money. I was told by their billing department that the refund was sent through on 11/16/12. Here we are 12 days later and still no money. I guarantee it has nothing to do with my banking service. Nobody takes that long to process money if it's actually been sent. You send your money to this company at your own peril.

  • 11/28/2012 Follow Up #2: Called my banking institution today and was told digitaldepotonline.com had not even attempted to refund my money even though I was told by phone on 11/19/2012 that they had processed my refund. When I called them today they said they sent the refund and it had "bounced back" b/c I disputed the claim. I told the employee on the other end of the line that he was full of it b/c I had just disputed the claim 10 minutes before talking with him and confirmed with my bank that ZERO attempt had been made to refund my money. Scam artists of the highest order. You'll get nothing but excuses and runaround from these people in the hopes that you'll simply walk away, giving them your hard earned money. I'll never do business with them and have told everyone I know about my experience with them.
