On Jan. 2, 2014, I responded to a Facebook advertisement from Dr. Oz promoting a great and wonderful weight loss supplement. The adverstisement said I would receive a trial bottle of Garcinia Cambogia supplement for only $5.99 shipping. AFTER I clicked on OK to ship my product, I received an e-mail confirmation stating that they would charge me $89 per month for this product. I called to cancel the trial and was asked to send the product back but the e-mail I received confirming an RMA never offered me the address to which I was to return the product. On Feb. 2, my card was charged the $89.51 for the product. We called the toll free number on the e-mail confirming the subscription cancellation and were told that they showed our account was cancelled but we were charged for the product we did not send back. The representative we spoke with said we were sent a 30-day supply and it was a 14-day trial so we had to send the remainder of the product back. When I said I would send the product back if they'd give me the address, she said the address was supplied when I called to cancel and if I would look at their terms and conditions they would see that I had a 30-day guarantee from the time I ordered. They had to receive the product back within 30 days from the order date or I would be charged the full amount for the bottle. After threatening to challenge the charges, I was escalated to a supervisor who finally agreed to refund all but $29.95 for the product. I agreed to that but want everyone else to know THIS IS A SCAM! Do not fall for it. I used to trust Dr. Oz, but not anymore.
