I received a phone call today from Contract Callers, Inc. wanting to verify my address and informed me that I have an outstanding debt with Double Day Book Club in the amount of $67.00 from 2004!!! First of all I have NEVER ordered books online from anyone. Second of all, I have no bad debt reported on my credit. The lady from Contract Callers wanted to know how I was going to take care of this debt. I told her I would pay $0 because I owe nothing and to take me to court. What kind of scam is this they are trying to pull? Calling people telling them they owe money from 14 years ago!! Ridiculous.
