Around the beginning of the month of May my phone service went dead (no warning from CC).It was dead for three days. I called from another phone and they told me (well, I had to call a bunch of times to find someone who knew what was wrong) a tower was down after being hit. Another person told me that they, or AT&T since they own CC, was doing maintenance on some towers.

Anyway after that I began to notice that my mobile data was turning itself on, and a check box to restrict background data was unchecking itself regularly. This is a problem because using data is the only way fro me to get the internet. In my rural area that's all we can get. So I try to be very careful with my use of data because if I go over they will charge me extra. When I need it, for, say, email, I get on, do my job andd get off by turning off the data. It's what I've done on this phone since I've had it, now about 4 or 5 months. Yet here is the phone turning the data on seemingly by itself. I called them and of course they have no idea, have never heard of such a thing. It makes one wonder, is this yet another scam by a cellular company to try to get people use up, then buy more data? Or perhaps is this a way to try to listen to conversations remotely. That sounds paranoid though, right? So my choices are to turn on airplane mode or turn off the phone altogether when I'm done with it. That stops me from receiving calls from my family. And I was able to use the internet once in airplane mode (though that was with wifi when I went to town).

Well there's my complaint. I hope someone is listening.
