Contacted the above to sign up for the phone service. The phones were free and they were only charging for the activation and month to month rates. When the phones arrived one of them was defective so when we called to get a new phone as we had already paid for the phone to be activated we were told we would have to pay $35.00 We could not understand this as after all we had paid for the pone to be activated and since the product they sent was defective and couldn't be activated we felt they should have sent a new phone. They refused to send a new phone to us unless we paid the $35 as it was very clear "additonal phones" were that price. Excuse me but that was not an additional phone but "the" phone. Because of this we cancelled and they sent the materials necessary to return and we were told that once they received their product back we would see our account be credited with 24-48 hours. We returned the product on Feb 3rd and was able to see through USPS tracking they received it Feb 6th. When our checking account had not been credited as promised within 24-48 hours of receipt of the phone we called their Service Department only to be lied to on several occasions saying our account had been credited. Finally a "Manager" got on the phone and told us that the refund would actually be coming from ANOTHER .com business that ConsumerCellular deals with and that process could take 4-5 weeks. We told them that was unacceptable and demanded the our account be credited immediately. The "Manager" Jennifer promised she would call us back within the hour with a resolve to our problem. That was Friday and surprise suprise no one has called.
