USAGC.org Green Card Lottery scam

Hello All,

I applied for a Green Crad back in 2011 and completely forgot about it until i was called today on my land line by USAGC case agent informing me that i have won a Green card Lottery! she spend 30 min or more on the phone sounded so genuine and lovely. After about 30 min going through rules and regulations and asking me more personal questions she then told me that i need to pay!!! Then the penny dropped.
I said i can't!She then said we are not here to pressure you but if you don't pay the application cannot be submitted! thankfully i didn't pay anything or gave her any card details but i did gave her my address, date of birth and work information.
She wasn't happy1 by the way her name in email was Liam Miller.i said i have no fund in my card she said it's ok give it to me even if decline as the United state government just need to see the transaction has happened. By then i was %100 assured this was a SCAM. At this point i wasnt listening as o knew what was happening but i think she said its like $400 per person.
I am worried about my personal Data but that was all they had!
I will email them and request to cancel my application and take my informations off their system but i have no trust in them at all.
I am so glad i managed to catch on with their lies but there are people out there who are vulnerable and desperately want the Green card and wont think this is just a scam and pay.
Please share your experience with us so others won't get into their trap.
