Am in dispute with my credit card company over Key One's charge for the amount of services I have received...yet, I have not received services, at my own request because I felt something wasn't "right" and once I got the package from Key One, I knew I needed to cancel.
I called to cancel the "order" and the representative started getting "uppity". With any other "reputable" company, they would cancel the order without any problem. Key One insisted that I give them a reason, which I did...."I have decided to reconsider your offer" is what I told them. Theydidn't like that response. As the consumer, I am not under any obligation to give a more detailed reason, but the rep was more than insistant. I finally said, "it doesn't matter any way because I am already disputing the amount." NO services were rendered, there is no written signature anywhere. They sent me the paperwork asking me for all of this financial information to try to get a decrease in my credit card interest rates....asking me about prior bankruptcies,do I own my own home, how mny children I have.....this didn't make sense to me. I was told I could not terminate or receive a refund without filling out and returning the paperwork they were asking me to send back to them. THAT doesn't make sense either. If I was reconsidering an offer, why would I continue to fill out personal account information in order to cancel. All very fishy after the fact. My credit card company has been great at assisting me, but they say, since they are only a bank they can't make KeyOne's bank pay....I may get stuck. The Key One rep I spoke with, told his supervisor I was rude on the phone, when in fact I finally said to him....after battling with me to give him a "better reason" for me to cancel...I said, "ya know, any reputable company should reconsider your customer service skills as acceptable"....at which time I hung up because I didn't want to be questioned about why I decided to reconsider...it was that simple. His reaction also solidified for me, that there was a problem with the whole "transaction."

KeyOne has shot themselves in the foot at every step in my opinion(sorry for the pun). For example: Key One continued to leave messages on our home phone (you know...the robo-call we all took and got suckered by simply because we needed toi try to make ends meet) even AFTER they had made several attempts (nasty calls from the supervisor threatening me, that I had to return her call immediately to give her a reason why I was cancelling and how I would be able to QUALIFY for a refund) for me to call them back. Now, I say to you...there is no reason for me or anyone else to have to qualify for a refund where no services have been rendered. They state in writing...in info they sent to counter my dispute...."She is responsible for her failure to benefit from this purchase to date: she has been in possession of her customized kit , including software and HAS YET TO BENEFIT FROM THE SERVICES PORTION OF THIS ORDER DUE ONLY TO HER FAILURE TO DISCLOSE ON THE FORM PROVIDED WHAT IT IS SHE NEEDS ASSISTANCE WITH." again, they clearly state I have not received services. I have paid them $998.95 for a blank form to fill out, a generic (not customized as stated earlier...how could it be? I haven't given them any info...that is not customized) double disk, about who knows what, and a phone call to persuade me to fall for their scheme. I will go to the ends of the earth to reverse this charge even if it means I need to take on a class action lawsuit. They also state in their materials to my bank..."although she is not ENTITLED to a refund at this time we will gladly issue a full refund in the event that she allows us the opportunity to complete her file..." OH so as soon as I give them some of my personal information then they will give me my refund without a problem....I know I am not going to fall for that! KEY ONE will not sqeeze me any further. The last thing me or anyone else needs these days are some scheming people who want to take people for a ride, when they are just looking for basic help.

  • rukiddinme--If you are on the Do not call list,file a complaint,same with BBB,Atty,General,the federal attys,are looking into my complaint on the do not call list,report it amy and the rest of these scumbags need to be put in prison where they belong,
