I was having trouble with downloading my photo card through my hp printer to computer, and in looking for a resolution found PC Mask's phone number 1-877-865-9340 to call for assistance. Called and was told he (Kevin McGuire ext 252)with heavy India sounding accent mind you, could can fix it immediately and asked me to go on my computer and sign on. He somehow took over my computer and was looking around at this and that, with my knowledge while we were still on the phone, he kept me on the phone for 3 hours. But did not fix anything. He told me I had viruses and infections and the error regarding the photo card was a virus that he could fix, that he could also tune up my computer, update the security for a lifetime, and be on call 24-7 if I ever had a problem for $169.99. I was told they would take my payment info to verify that I actually have a valid bank account as they only take checks, and their billing would not charge me until they called for approval after my computer was fixed. Kevin McGuire said he would continue to work on my computer as I had to go to work and it would be fixed in the AM. I believed him and agreed and gave what they called theyre billing dept my acct number. My computer was not fixed that day or the next, and I called their number 1-877-385-1667 to say I was no longer interested in their services and not to charge me. (They couldn't fix my problem as I learned that my hp printer simply does not read photo cards over 2GB.) A couple of days later a woman called to see if my computer was fixed and to get my approval to charge me. I told her no and no. We had a lengthy but nice conversation, and she finally understood that I did not want their services or their unfulfilled contract, and she agreed not to charge me. However When I got my bank statement I was charged $169.99 by them! I called back and talked to a man calling himself Steve Williams, another heavy accent which sounds like people do who are from India. After explaining the problem to him, he attempted to argue the point, saying they fixed my computer and I approved the payment. Which is absolutely all lies! Eventually he agreed to reimburse me the full amount and said it would be back in my account within 9 days. A month later I have still not been reimbursed. I called back today and spoke to Steve Williams again, who first claimed he never spoke to me, and then the same arguments as before. Saying how could they have taken my money without my approval! Of course they did just that! All I have ever gotten from them, is what turns out now to be Ridiculous lies and a LOT of wasted time, aggravating runaround, and false promises. Without warning this Steve Williams transferred me to someone else, each time the next person claims to be a manager or a senior manager. IT sounded like he just handed someone else the phone, as I still heard the same background noise with no interruption, who said HE was the manager, named Romeo. Repeat scenario, transfer to a Robert Dawson, who argued with me and said he couldn't reimburse me b/c he couldn't be sure of who I was, for God's sake! I said send my money back to the account you took it from, under my name. He said I should write a letter to that affect. I argued that I didn't feel that was necessary, and said I was tired of the runaround and the lies and the ridiculous excuses they were coming up with, and said I would call the BBB and my bank and the law. He accused me of being Drunk, and said he would put me in jail and my daughter!! This nut is now trying to threatening me with some kind of third world country scare tactics and terrorism! Somewhere along the way I had I asked one of them where he was located and he said Florida. I asked for their real names and was told this was their names! I said you obviously wern't born in the U.S. and you were definitely not named Steve Williams, or Romeo or Robert Dawson from birth! By now I am coming unglued and tell him they are thieves who have lied to me over and over, and that I didn't know how he slept at night, but he would (Inappropriate Content Removed) for stealing my money. He continued to ask me how else he could help me! At one point he actually said he would give me my money back by sending me a check in the mail within 7 to 14 days, but he couldn't tell me what my address was! He said I had an account there ( I do not to my knowledge) and they had my information but asked me for my bank account number again, and said to go to my computer and sign on. I said, "are you crazy? Not Happening!" I said put the money back in the account that you took it out of! At one time he would say that he would give me my money back by sending me a check in the mail within 7 to 14 days, but then he would say he would not give me my money back. It was like trying to carry on a conversation with someone who could not comprehend, didn't listen or respond and never would answer my questions, and continued to give me the go around! Then when I would get either of them in a corner so to speak, they transferred me to another guy who wanted me to start all over with him. I could hear them laughing in the background! These criminals are scammers of the highest degree who need to be caught and put in jail! Their method of operation is that in the beginning, seem very nice and eager to help and please, and make all kinds of promises and guarantees which are all total lies! Be wise and do not fall for theis scam! This is not a legitimate company!!! Beware!
